Up goes the Christmas Tree

Well Luke was supposed to have his tube taken out today but since we have a bad cold we are now on for 12/11 plus his adenoids are going to come out too. So we had some fun this week and put up our christmas tree, since I have to work all weekend. This is my quick blog and update today...going shopping with my mom. Pray that our colds are over and that little man gains some weight...only 23.7 pounds...we need some more weight.

Here are some pics!

Cute Sleeper

Well Luke slept in our bed last night, he is starting to get over all of his germs. We have been fighting ears, croup, and to top it off...he had the stomach flu. (a toddler puking is not fun). This is his first year in daycare and you can totally tell...before we always just had a sitter so he was only with one other child. I hope soon his immunity grows and we stop getting so sick. Of course with his germs, we are getting some of them too..like the colds...its hard not to kiss on him so we all get the colds...including the grandparents. As you can see by the pic he is a wild sleeper...I took this a half hour ago. Under him is is favorite buddy...super pig...yes that is his name...and Luke sleeps with him all the time. That and his blankie...a thermal blanket.
The only good thing about his ears and stuff is...the pacifier is gone. We have been with out it for 4 weeks now...so now we just have to focus on potty training.
Well that is it from me...I have to go into work for 2 hours for our new phones. Talk to everyone later.

Hours

As Brad reminded me I am only working 56 hours this week. He laughed...and said are you sure you can do dosing calculations. I guess I was tired when I did the math in my head!! Ha!! Luke is really getting better..appetite is back today. He ate three meals...which is a lot for him....all 26 pounds!

Poppy is 56

Tonight we had my dad over for dinner and cake...the cake Luke picked out himself. Dad turned 56 this year..but not a day over 30! Luke is finally getting over his ear infections...we did three rounds of antibiotics and a set back with some croup...but it is finally almost over.
I am working double time tonight, and over time tomorrow. I will be working 76 hours this week. I usually turn down overtime..but Christmas is upon us and as Dave says "pay in cash" so that is what we are doing.

Luke is going to be getting a big boy bed...he is really excited. Honestly, it breaks my heart that he is out growing his crib. I will miss that, but I am excited about how big he is getting! I just wish I could get him to go potty...he is absolutely stubborn about going!

Brad is hard at work with realestate, he has a house and a condo for sale. He has been making calendars for the new year to send out.

Well I just wanted to update...got to go help with Lukes bath!

Tubes

Luke has this horrible ear infection, won't let us touch his ear..so I took him back to the doctor, and he has two holes in his eardrum. We are going back to the ENT..especially since we can't see his tubes anymore. Other than that we are doing good, I have been thinking a lot about Luke as a baby, reminiscing..I thought I would post some old pictures. I guess maybe I have been missing him being so cuddly..tonight he tried to headbutt me and laugh...he is such a handful sometimes!

(he was 8 months old to the day in these pics)

Colds for the Osbornes

Sorry to not blog again any sooner, but we have been puney in our household. Luke had a cold, then Mommy had a cold, then Luke had an ear infection...so we have been taking it easy. I think I may have to take Luke back to the ENT, his pediatrician could not see the tube and this is the worst ear infection he has had in over a year since his tubes. The good news is...his asthma has been really good during this cold and we have hardly had to do anything extra other than his normal meds. He is such a trooper...holding his nebulizer mask all on his own.

Other than that....Luke's new thing is to stand in front of our stove (its all black, so he can see himself) and dance and make silly faces. His new dance is 'turn to the left, turn to the right, shake..shake...shake"...this must be new in his daycare class. He loves to tell me Jesus made Luke, and mommy, and daddy, oh and the door...carpet, tv...if we call just be like a child and understand with out a shadow of a doubt.

I will take lots of pics this weekend as we will be carving a pumpkin with Luke for the first time.

This is a pic from our Vacation to Charlestion, SC. Luke loved the sand!

Roy Congleton, Brad's grandpa passed away last week. He was 97, we will miss his funny stories and knowledge of how life worked!
I loveto read!
This is the flower sculpture in my new unit that is open to the elements, but closed to people. So when it rains, we can see it. And if it snows, hopefully we can see that too...and it is lit up at night.
